Whether I’m advising our accounting and tax clients or testifying in court in a forensics or valuation engagement my primary goal is to convey complex information in a straightforward and useful manner. Regardless if the environment is collaborative or contentious my job is to assist individuals, companies and courts with the proper combination of technical expertise, professional judgement and common sense.

After graduating from Appalachian State I joined a local CPA firm that inundated me immediately with assignments and responsibilities atypical for a beginning accountant. While terrifying at the time, this sink or swim experience and the requisite hard work and continuing study have helped me enjoy a challenging and rewarding career.

In my role as both a business and personal CPA I have had the pleasure of working with many of our area’s most successful companies and astute individuals. These collaborations have allowed me to observe and learn various talents and philosophies that give me a unique perspective on an endless array of circumstances and challenges.

Along with traditional accounting and tax services I also provide accredited business valuations and litigation support services. I find that in addition to being both fascinating and stimulating this work enhances my skills in traditional CPA service areas. Conversely, working daily with companies with sales from a few hundred thousand to multi millions gives me the background and understanding to provide practical and insightful valuations and investigations.
